Do I need to download anything?
No. Waingoo works entirely inside WhatsApp or Telegram, which you probably already have. There's no Waingoo app to install and no account to create.
How does Waingoo find products?
We read your message, figure out what you're looking for, and query public listings on Instagram seller pages, Jiji and Kilimall in parallel. You get ranked results back with the seller's link so you can message them directly. More marketplaces are on our roadmap.
Does Waingoo handle payment?
No, and this is deliberate. Waingoo never takes your money or acts as an escrow. Payment happens between you and the seller on their channel (M-Pesa, bank, cash on delivery). Always verify before paying.
What about scams and dodgy sellers?
Every listing is run through automatic scam-detection checks (unrealistic pricing, pressure language, too-good-to-be-true phrasing, and high-value items missing photos or seller contact) before it's ever shown to you. This filtering happens silently in the background; there's no visible badge or score. It's a real reduction in risk, not a guarantee. Today, results arrive as text (title, price, seller and a direct link) rather than in-chat photos. Follow the link to see the seller's own images before you decide.
How do I get my data removed?
Email info@waingoo.com or reply "STOP" in the chat. We'll confirm and delete your data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act. Full details in our privacy policy.
